Education
As an Educational Center for Urban Sustainability, we especially encourage visits from school and youth groups. We can accommodate large groups and provide hands-on learning experiences.
Members of the Rhizome Collective are available to give presentations or participate in panel discussions on a variety of topics, including the Rhizome Collective and each of the organizations and projects that operate out of the space.
Available Speakers:
Scott Kellogg
Scott is a co-founder of the Rhizome Collective and a Director of the Rhizosphere Educational Center. A certified permaculture teacher, his years of practical experience with various sustainable systems include the creation of those described in the virtual tour section of this website. In order to be widely accessible, Scotts classes are taught with flexible structures and at minimal cost. The emphasis of the classes is the cross-section between sustainability and activism, with a focus on creating decentralized infrastructures that grant people and communities greater self-reliance and self-governance.
